Our Mission

Started in 2007, Winter Awakening is a yearly mid-winter retreat created with the intention of giving LGBTQIA+ and friends in Twelve Step recovery a safe, welcoming space for reviewing their recovery, exploring and deepening their spirituality and, through the power of community, supporting and encouraging one another on their respective journeys.  This is achieved through workshops, activities, and fellowship based on Step Eleven of Twelve Step recovery.  Our sincere hope is that what attendees learn and discover during the retreat will guide and shape their recovery throughout the year.
